About OUr family

I am Sarina, my husband is Tony and together, we have two pooches, two toddlers and two hermit crabs. In 2019, we began trying to ”start our family”. The road was tough - we had a chemical pregnancy and two miscarriages and knew we needed some assistance. Our fertility specialist suggested intrauterine insemination (IUI) of which we tried two rounds. Frustrated, heartbroken and exhausted, Tony and I decided to begin our IVF journey. We are extremely fortunate that our process was not as long as others - we got pregnant on our first round. Forty weeks and 2 days later, our baby girl, who we affectionately referred to as Bean in utero, joined our world.

Since Baby Girl Bean, we have received a lot of advice. As a matter of fact, “a lot” is an understatement. “Buy this crib, buy that dresser, don’t buy the bottle warmer, use these bottles, create a routine, ditch the routone, take the baby everywhere with you”. It was and still is never ending and sometimes overwhelming. After our baby shower, I was reading through the advice cards and I was pleasantly surprised. There wasn’t much to sift through. Our family and friends wrote some version of “do what works“ and “follow your instincts” on every single card.

I’ve spent the better part of my motherhood journey trying to figure out how to balance it all. What I’ve found out is, it’ll never happen but when you have a community supporting you - it’s that much easier. Our goal is to create a community of empowered moms who feel supported, loved and a little less alone in this motherhood journey.

We invite you to laugh with us, cry with us and laugh ’till you cry with us. Ask us questions - we are open books. Our readers are extremely vital to our success - you fuel us, along with coffee, and *clears throat* an occasional vodka.
